Pre-K 4 Mission Statement

Selecting the right Pre-K can be a tedious task. It is the opening door of your child's academic career. At Bunny Bunch Early Learning and Pre-K Center, we take our responsibility of preparing your child for Kindergarten very seriously. We understand that the upcoming year may hold many stresses as your child adjusts to a new school, teacher, and classmates. These are just some of the hurdles your child will have to overcome as they embark on their journey into the world of scholastics. While we cannot control the experiences their futures hold, we can make sure that they have been supplied with a solid, well-rounded foundation. We provide a wealth of knowledge and experiences to ensure that your child has the resources and knowledge needed to blossom into an independent, successful student.

Each day includes breakfast, lunch, and snack and also consists of structured activities such as:

Story Time
Singing Time
Outdoor Time (weather permitting)

Sign Language

Centers

Learning: Teacher directed
Craft: Teacher directed
Free: Blocks, books, puzzles, play dough, painting, kitchen, lacing, etc.

Special Activities

We also have special guests throughout the year from our Niagara Falls Aquarium, our Local Fire Department and Dentist, along with holiday visits from Santa and the Easter Bunny.

Pre-K 4 students end the year with a graduation ceremony for parents to enjoy.

Goals

By the end of the year, the students should show progress in or demonstrate the following:

Reading/language readiness skills (ex. sight words, phonics, shows awareness of rhyming)
Demonstrates a variety of competency in both fine motor skills (ex. writing, cutting, coloring) and gross motor skills (ex. skipping, hopping)
Knows, recognizes, and can write and spell first and last name
Recognizes numbers from 1 through 10, and can count from at least 1 to 10, if not higher
Can recognize and name all shapes and colors
Can recognize and verbally say their birthday, age, address, and phone number
Can recognize and verbally say the letters of the alphabet, days of the week, and months of the year
Demonstrates a working knowledge of spatial relationships (between, inside/outside, up/down, etc.)
Can identify the object that doesn’t belong

The students will learn about a wide variety of topics revolving around weekly and monthly themes throughout the year (ex. Fire Safety, Self-Concept, Butterflies, Community Workers, Dinosaurs, Time, etc.)

Evaluations

Evaluations are done three times a year. Conferences are done at the first time of the first evaluation and as needed any other time. These evaluations will cover:

General Knowledge
Basic Skills
Gross and Fine Motor Skills
Pre-Reading and Pre-Writing Skills
Math ReadinessSpatial Relationships

By providing an inviting and stimulating environment, as well as much encouragement and praise, we strive to make your child’s Bunny Bunch experience a positive and happy one!

It is in this meaningful environment that we aim to provide a variety of opportunities and activities that promote physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and creative development. We also proudly offer the Starpoint Universal Pre-K program at our Townline Road location and the Niagara Wheatfield Universal Pre-K program at our Ward Road and Niagara Falls Boulevard Locations.
